Eiffage Route is a major industrial player in the natural and recycled aggregates field, working with both professionals and the general public in France and Europe. With our extensive quarry and deposit network, recycling and recovery hubs and inert waste storage facilities we can offer our clients a complete range of products and services compliant with the highest quality and environmental standards.
We are a recognized leader in aggregate production, with 17.5 million tonnes extracted each year in France.
We operate 130 quarries and deposits in France, Spain and Portugal, together with recycling/recovery hubs, either exclusively or as joint ventures.
Our widespread network enables us to offer you a range of natural aggregates of varying mineralogical types: limestone, eruptive, alluvial, etc.
Eiffage Group's quarries provide a full range of products and materials including sand, gravel, chippings, riprap, treated and untreated base, pit-run material, hard core, ballast, etc.
Our sales and logistics team is ready to help you develop your projects and advise you on the economic and financial choices, technical and deployment solutions and delivery options (rail, road) available. The material extracted from our different sites is intended for a variety of uses in the construction of roads, buildings, railway lines, engineering structures and urban development facilities. It also provides the components for ready-mixed concrete (BPE), asphalt mixes, gabions and decorative features.
The products from our quarries are tested and monitored by Eiffage Infrastructure's laboratories, so as to guarantee superior product quality for our clients.
Eiffage Route's Aggregates teams ensure the compliance of activities, products and safety on their sites. They pay special attention to customer expectations, but also to local residents and other stakeholders. Local consultation and monitoring commissions are held regularly, to ensure information is shared with local partners.
All Eiffage Group's quarries hold the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 qualifications, and guarantee our clients optimum product traceability and regularity. We are committed to constant improvement, and are working towards the ISO 50001 standard with the implementation of our energy performance processes. The products we market are all CE marked. The quarries are members of the Environmental Charter and the Unicem and UNPG "Health and Safety Commitment" (Engagement Santé Sécurité).
Considerable efforts are made to redevelop the quarries during their lifecycle and contribute to regional development.
Redeveloped quarries are converted into agricultural land, leisure facilities and fishing ponds. They are thus reintegrated into the natural environment to foster biodiversity and the development of ecological zones (for example, wetlands) to promote wildlife conservation and protection.
